Coyoacán

Coyoacán is a peaceful and beautiful residential area declared Historic Monuments Zone by the INBA (National Institute of Fine Arts) in 1990. Despite the passage of time, it still retains its architecture with a picturesque landscape of houses in bright colors amidst large trees. We will walk through the "Plaza and the Hidalgo Garden" and then visit the "Church of San Juan Bautista", symbol of the beauty of the baroque from the New Spain. Then, we will visit the "Frida Kahlo Museum" also known as "The Blue House" where Frida lived with Diego Rivera her beloved husband; a controversial couple of communist affiliation who received in their home Leon Trotsky and his wife after being exiled at the end of the Bolshevik revolution in Russia.

San Ángel

The Residential Zone chosen for living by the Mexican Elite of the early XX Century. We will visit the Ex Convent of San Jacinto founded by Carmelite friars in the 17th century and later occupied by Augustinian monks. We will enjoy its wide atrium where there is an Atrial Cross, its beautiful carved wooden door in its upper part and the baptismal font. We will take a tour at the Saturday Bazaar where we will find real works of art that are shown and sold directly by their creators. Later, we will visit the Studio-House of Diego Rivera, the famous Mexican muralist and painter.

University City

The National Autonomous University of Mexico also known as University City is a World Heritage Site listed by UNESCO in 2007. It was built on an area of 717 hectares.

Here we will appreciate different art expressions such as a Mural of David Alfaro Siqueiros at the Rectory Building entitled "The University to the People and the People to the University" in Spanish "La Universidad al Pueblo y El Pueblo a la Universidad“. Other is an unfinished mural by Diego Rivera at the Olympic Stadium entitled "The University, the Family and Sports in Mexico" in Spanish "La Universidad, la Familia y el Deporte en México" and the Jewel of the Crown, "The Central Library" designed and built by the arquitect Juan O'Gorman.

Xochimilco

Declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1987. We are going to visit the famous Flower market where the majority of the flowers that adorn the CDMX come from. Then, we are going to aboard a typical Trajinera (a non motorized boat) to take a tour thought the peaceful canals of Xochimilco. Probably, we will find other Trajineras full of Mexican musicians like mariachis, huapangueros, norteños and even romantic trios, playing different kinds of songs; In addition, during the tour, we can enjoy typical Mexican food, fresh waters of horchata and tamarind or better yet, a delicious and cold beer.
