Magic Town of Tlalpujahua de Rayón.
Ignacio López Rayón was born in Tlapujahua, the Mexican Independence hero. People refer to Tlalpujahua as the town who refused to die because after the gold and silver mines were exhausted, a lot of people decided to stay and search for alternative living activities such as agriculture and handicrafts.
Aromas and Flavors. At the local Market our senses will be aroused with the aroma of a hot coffee, with the flavor of the barbacoa, with the texture of the fruits, with the beauty of its architecture and as well as the morning symphony with the sounds that only a town can offer as the chirping of birds, the bellowing of a cow, the barking of a dog and the wild and challenging song of a rooster.
About its architecture: A clear example of the baroque of the 17th century is the Sanctuary of the Virgen del Carmen, built on the top of the hill, adorned with mermen and mermaids on the fronts of the pedestals. In the lower part of the town is the Franciscan Convent dating from the 18th century. We will take a break in the garden of the Main Square to enjoy the peace that this peaceful town gives us and the beauty of its Octagonal Kiosk while we enjoy a delicious fruit snow cups.
At the Museum of the Hermanos Rayón, they are photographs, models, floor plans and the entire history of the place linked to the Insurgent Movement of Independence of Mexico and mining activities.
The Magic Town of El Oro
The Magical Town of El Oro is located in the State of Mexico and is one of the old mining glories of the country with mines such as La Esperanza, El Consuelo or La Providencia.
The years of mining splendor in Gold have gone; however, constructions such as the Juarez Theater and the Municipal Palace with a clear European influence and a beautiful Classic and Art Nouveau architectural style, the mural of "The Genesis of Gold" at the Municipal Palace, the beauty of the Chapel of Santa Maria de Guadalupe, the Tree of the Bicentenary at the Madero Garden and the Mining Museum makes this Magic Town a mandatory point on your schedule.
