Historical Center

Our tour begins at the Historic Center of Mexico City (CDMX); specifically in the Plaza de la Constitución also known as the Zócalo of the CDMX. We will visit the National Palace to learn, in a graphic way, about the History of Mexico captured masterfully in the Murals of this beautiful enclosure by Diego Rivera, one of the most outstanding Mexican painters of the 20th century.

Then, just a few steps away and in the middle of the Big City, we will have a look of the Archaeological Site of the Templo Mayor, considered the Heart of the Aztec Empire where extraordinary archaeological pieces have been found as the Aztec Calendar that is currently exhibited at the National Museum of Anthropology.

We will visit the Metropolitan Cathedral of Mexico, a beautiful Baroque and Neoclassical building, whose construction required more than 300 years for different reasons that our Tour Guide will explain extensively.

Next, we will walk along Calle Francisco I Madero where we will sightsee the Jewelry Center of Mexico City, the Estanquillo Museum, the Church of the Profesa, the Casa de los Azulejos (House of tiles) and finally, we are going to see the extraordinary Palacio de Bellas Artes (Fine Art Palace).

We will continue our journey through the Historic Center passing by the Bank of Mexico and next to the Post Office Palace, one of the most beautiful buildings of Mexico City; then, we will arrive to the Plaza Tolsa. Here, we can appreciate the beauty of the equestrian statue known as El Caballito dedicated to the King of Spain Luis IV, as well as the beautiful facades of the National Museum of Art and the Mining Palace.

National Museum of Anthropology

Finally, we will arrive to the National Museum of Anthropology, a beautiful building that safeguards the most precious legacies of the indigenous cultures of Mexico, considered one of the best in the world in its genre. Here we will visit the Teotihuacan, Mexica and Maya halls where we can admire impressive archeological pieces such as the Piedra del Sol also known as the Aztec Calendar, the Pakal Tomb of the Mayan Culture and a monolith of more than 70 tons representing the God of Water of the Aztecs: Tlaloc, among other wonders. It is worth mentioning that this colossal museum was built on an area of 70,000 square meters; It has 24 rooms of which 22 are permanent exhibitions, 11 dedicated to Anthropology and 11 to Ethnography and 2 rooms are for temporary exhibitions.
